In-Out Curtain

Description
The In-Out curtain is a prototype design for an
operable screen that can be manipulated to change
shape in section as well as in plan. Made from wood
veneer or paper, it is conceieved as a hybrid
drape/Venetian blind that may function either as a
window or covering or a transformable room
partitiion.
The curtain is comprosed pf cut, perforated, folded,
and interlocked laser cut modules. The modules are
each designed with internal tensions so they hold
two distinct shapes, a closed/concave shape, and an
open/convex one. Each curtain can have a unique
form and can be altered continously by hand.
